Each district holds court sittings at their local office and in various other locations across the motu. Court sitting schedules are published in the National Pānui each month.
Upcoming court hearings
Every month, each district holds court sittings in their local office and in at least one other location.
Court sittings are scheduled for the next available date at the court venue you have advised us you wish to have your application heard at. If you would prefer to attend remotely, you can seek approval from the judge to attend by video or telephone.
The National Pānui
Our National Pānui is published and distributed monthly. It contains a schedule of court sittings, as well as notifications of applications that have been received since the last pānui but are not ready for court, or will be completed without the need for a hearing.
Special Pānui are also included in this section. Special Pānui are court hearings that have been set down after the cut off date for the National Pānui.
We also publish a monthly listing of applications due for consideration by the Chief Judge in Wellington.
Court sitting dates for the following year are confirmed and published in the National Pānui in December.
If you’d like to receive the monthly National Pānui by email or post, contact one of our offices or send us an email at mlcpanui@justice.govt.nz.
